Mould FX Alginate
Mouldlife have been looking at life casting products for many years, testing them and point scoring them on all aspects of performance. Alginate has been considered the preferred material for producing impressions from the body as it is cost effective, easy to use and medically safe.
Mouldlife's FX Alginate is our finest ever, as it offers a smooth, lump free consistency, range of setting speeds, good tear strength and unlike other Alginate it can be bonded to itself. However, Alginate still has its limitations, as the Alginate contains 70% water, you only have a short window of opportunity to produce a copy as your mould will start to shrink.
Also, you will be limited on the casting material that can be used in your Alginate, because of the water content, you must use water based casting material such as plaster.
