The silicone components are delivered as two component low viscosity liquids, which once mixed and cured, transform into an elastic and resistant moulding material. Polymerisation occurs without formation of heat. 

RTV 3428 has a shore hardness of 28 and is exceptionally strong with excellent tear strength.

This food approved silicone is available with three seperate catalysts - Rose / White and Translucent. This material does have Aerospace approval when used with the Rose (Pink) catalyst. The rose and translucent catalyst options are available on a made to order basis.
 

Example of Applications:

• Production of flexible moulds with excellent details reproduction, mechanical resistance and duration.
• Production of thermal expansion formers for composite materials (the aeronautic industry, boat-building, etc.).
• Production of moulds intended for moulding objects in chocolate, sugar, marzipan and for producing decorative sugar, pieces of bakery, biscuits and confectionery products.
