havant Clay NSP is a sulfur-free, somewhat harder, waxy, modeling plastiline, mainly used in fine arts and special effects. Sulfur-free because of being able to pour into different silicone molds. Available in soft, medium and hard. On a scale of 1 to 10 is soft, medium and hard . This clay has a high adhesive power and flexibility. Because the clay is slightly harder, you can easily sculpt fine details in it. The NSP Chavant is subject to oxidation. Originally packaged, it remains good for years, but after being warmed up and cooled down several times, the oxidation is accelerated, which can sometimes lead to an advantage: the surface is slightly harder and more workable.
As the NSP clay is heated, it naturally becomes softer, but also stickier. A little water, solvents based on citrus, thinner, turpentine or white spirit helps to make the surface soft and smooth again.
The NSP clay can be melted for pouring, as well as for brushing or spraying. The melting point is approximately 80 ° C. NSP Soft is usually used at room temperature (up to 40 ° C), the Medium and Hard are usually heated to 45 to 50 ° C.
