Condensation Cure (Tin)
With market-leading condensation cure silicones available at Mouldlife | PS, we are confident you will find what you are looking for. We have incredibly soft and flexible shore hardness’s for moulding where there is fine detail, undercuts and flexibility, which is paramount to market-leading brands like 3481 (23-25 shore Hardness), and 80-30 (30 shore hardness).
The main difference between platinum cure and condensation cure silicone is the metals used to make the catalyst. Condensation by name shows you that it uses a tin base for catalysing the base, whereas addition cure (platinum cure) will use platinum in its catalyst to cure its base. Both have fantastic qualities and offer great yield, but you will find condensation cure silicones are less sensitive, and less likely to inhibit (tacky feel on surface).
If in any doubt as to whether you need condensation or addition cure silicones for your specific requirements, please contact one of our technical team at info@mouldlife.co.uk.
