The material has a comparatively slow cream time of 20-25 seconds and a rise time of ~1.5 minutes, allowing mouldings of up to 5 kgs depending on the exact circumstances of the process. Key benefits of Procell S5 include; Tough, Firm foam with medium density Exceptionally tough skin, particularly when moulded Readily and effectively pigmented (is available in neutral or pre-pigment black) Easy to mix – 3:1 by weight or by volume Low viscosity allows for easy pouring once mixed Can be cut and shaped with appropriate tools Applications Procell S5 has been formulated for use primarily for moulding and casting applications requiring a tougher foam than traditional soft, flexible foams. Procell S5 forms a tough, robust skin when moulded. The processing characteristics allow for mixing by hand, drill or machine, although best results are obtained with a machine.
