ELASTOSIL® A07 is a free flowable, solvent-based RTV-1 silicone dispersion. It cures at room temperature or elevated temperature by reaction with air humidity to a flexible silicone coating. During cure it splits off an organic amine.

Application

ELASTOSIL® A07 is a free flow able, solvent-based RTV-1 silicone dispersion. It cures at room temperature reaction with air humidity to a flexible silicone coating. During cure it splits off an organic amine. - Multipurpose sealant and coating material.

Painting Silicone

A07 can be used as a primer or with oil colourants to paint your silicone busts, etc. 

Begin with a clean silicone surface - silicone fresh out of the mould will have better adhesion when painting, however if left longer, just wipe your surface and remove any oils! IPA, Acetone or Heptane. 

Then simply thin A07 with white spirit until a runny, brushable fluid and apply as a primer.

OR add your oil-based colours directly into the diluted A07 and apply that way. A thin enough fluid can pass through an airbrush! 

Please wear gloves and a respirator when handling solvents.
